AMG’s Ben Leon was invited join the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Sustainability workshop held in London at the RAeS headquarters together with professionals engaged in sustainability from across the aerospace sector.

Lively and in depth discussions were held across a spectrum of issues, from high-level sector topics, issues surrounding the skills for sustainability, how fast innovations will be realised in aircraft and technology, the shift to new fuels, efficiencies of operations, manufacturing and materials.

An extremely interesting and important day, with a wide variety of experience and ideas in the room, the RAeS will be drawing up recommendations on actions it can take to drive and support sector sustainability.

Whilst not all of the important work around sustainability identified on the day can be addressed by the RAeS, we look foward to AMG playing a contiued role in the driving sustainable change throughout the aviation sector.
